These ear candles contain food grade paraffin with the essential oil of Lavender--- these are long ear candles (27cm) which are more suitable for adults.
Oto-wax ear candles are short (16cm) which are more suitable for children or people having ears very sensitive to sound or preforated ears.

What does the treatment include?

• An ear examination
• A candle is then gently placed into the auditory canal of the first ear and lit (this lasts approximately 9-11 minutes) while you sit comfortably, my hands keeping the candle steady and preventing any ash falling on to you. You will experience a pleasant crackling sound as the candle burns and a warm comfortable feeling.

How do Hopi Ear Candles work?
The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax. A constant high quality is ensured. The candles work on a vacuum principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalize the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for most conditions. Secretion flow is gently stimulated and moves impurities or deposits. Some of these waxes are carried away through the candle "vacuum", and some of them could work their way up to the surface 24-48 hours after. And also the air flow will change the pressure in the ear, in turn to change the pressure in the sinusis. Therefore ear candles are able to treat earache, tinnitus, dizzyness, hay fever, sinusitis and headaches.
Note: if you suffer ear or sinus problems, it is a good idea to have a treatment prior to your flight to reduce the possibility to have earache on the plane.
